About the job


Web-IQ is looking for a software engineer to join our data platform team. You will be designing and developing software of Web-IQ’s next generation data platform. It powers our Open-Source Intelligence products and services so our customers can fight crime on the internet!

Our data platform process over a petabyte of data with billions of documents and relations. As we process more data, need to process it faster and are faced with more diverse use cases, the data platform at Web-IQ needs to scale even further than it already has.

We are looking for software engineers who are interested in databases and data processing. You will be part of the team that allows our products to scale to tens of thousands of datasets, extends our query capabilities while at the same time increases operational efficiency and reliability.

Ideally you have previously built data-intensive systems, and you are interested in the data ecosystem e.g., SQL and NoSQL, search systems, graph databases. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in architecture decisions and building rock-solid software.

About you


  • You have an HBO/WO education level.

  • You have a strong interest in building data-intensive and/or distributed systems.

  • You have experience with designing and developing scalable back-end software systems, preferably in Java.

  • You know your way in Unix/Linux.

  • You preferably speak both Dutch and English.
